Everton are interested in signing want-away Southampton defender Jose Fonte according to The Daily Mirror
Fonte has been left out of Southampton’s squad for their EFL Cup semi-final against Liverpool after handing in a transfer request.
And according to the Mirror , his former Saints boss Ronald Koeman is keen to sign him in January. The report says Southampton want as much as £12m.
Fonte is now 33-years-old, meaning he would have little resale value if he was to move to Goodison Park.
