#Spotify Offers President Barack Obama A Job As ‘President Of Playlists
Barack Obama would step down as President of the United States in a couple weeks after his eight-year tenure ends and now he’s been offered a job by music streaming site Spotify.
Spotify posted a job vacancy with the title “President of Playlists” on their site and the requirements seem perfectly suited to Obama. The job advert says “applicants should have ‘at least eight years’ experience running a highly-regarded nation, a friendly and warm attitude, and a Nobel Peace Prize”.
Spotify CEO Daniel Ek tweeted the vacancy post to the outgoing president.
The “What you’ll do” section of the role says the candidate will identify new playlist ideas, “from a playlist for shooting hoops with your friends, to the perfect warm up playlist for addressing the nation about health care legislation that bears your name” .
Chief Executive Officer at Spotify CEO: Daniel Ek sent an encouraging tweet to president Obama being offered the job vacancy
“Ever had Kendrick Lamar play at your birthday bash?” it asks – “We’d love to hear about it!”
Another favorable characteristic of the candidate is the ability to
“speak passionately about playlists at press events”. “Let us be clear, you should be nothing short of one of the greatest speakers of all time,” the job posting says.
Spotify is a swedish company and President Barack Obama has been sharing playlists of his favorite music via the music streaming site since 2015 and according to Natalia Brzezinski, the wife of the former US ambassador to Sweden, the president told him last week
“I’m still waiting for my job at Spotify… Cuz’ I know y’all loved my playlist!”
