This page contains walkthroughs of all of the Los Santos missions on Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. There are 29 story missions in total before the next section of the map is unlocked. Every single word and screenshot shown on this page was written and taken by Psy respectively, and no other websites have permission to post any of this work.

<br> Using the guide is simple. Scroll through it and find the name of the crime boss you are currently working for. All of the crime bosses are in large bold font and have their radar icon next to them. Below the crime boss, you'll find their missions. The missions will explain what happens in the cutscene, what your objectives are, and the best way to go about them. You'll also be informed of the rewards for completing missions, and shown a number of screenshots from each mission. You can use the quick links below to jump to something specific if you know what you're looking for. You'll find a number of links at the bottom of the page which will take you to the mission walkthroughs for other areas. I'd suggest you allow the page to load all of the images and content before clicking on any other links. Clicking on the thumbnail screenshots will pop up with a larger image. Los Santos MissionsAfter you've finished watching the cutscene and the opening video walk forwards and get on the BMX. From here you'll need to read the on screen instructions which will tell you how to successfully ride a bike. Once you're starting to get the hang of it make your way to the Right and use the radar to direct you to the CJ icon. As you approach Grove Street Carl will give a short speech so you'll know you're close. Once you get to the end of the cul-de-sac enter the red marker and you'll begin the first mission.
Carl JohnsonBig Smoke This mission is more of a cutscene. You'll enter the Johnson House where Carl will have flashbacks of when his moms was alive. He grabs a photograph of her and looks at it when Big Smoke enters the room with a baseball bat. After a short discussion they move outside and Carl enters Smokes Perennial. They then drive off to the funeral.
Sweet & KendlUpon arriving at the funeral you'll be reunited with Sweet and Kendl, Carl's siblings as well as Ryder, a friend of the family. Sweet shows you that a lot of the Grove Street Families have been killed and eventually leads you out of the cemetery. Just outside the gates you'll be confronted by a Ballas car and a spray of bullets. It's now where the mission starts. Run across the road and get on the bike marked with the blue arrow, then head along the street to the right and follow Smoke, Ryder and Sweet. Keep tapping X to pedal faster and try to get some distance between you and the chasing Ballas car, or you'll take a lot of damage from drive by's. Follow Sweet on the radar and if you get lost, just pause and look at the map to see where he is.
Follow them until you reach the area under the intersection, then Sweet will head off in a different direction in order to lose the Ballas. From here, follow Ryder and Smoke as they take you back towards Grove Street. Just as you approach, the Ballas car will appear again, so you can just speed to the red circle if you don't wish to follow Ryder and risk getting shot to pieces. Park in the Red Circle and you'll see a short cutscene before passing the first mission.
Mission Passed! Respect +
You can now enter Carl's house and save game which will refill your health. When you go back outside you'll be told to head to the R on the radar for Ryder's mission. You'll also get a phone call from Sweet who will tell you that the Grove Street Families aren't big anymore and that it's a dangerous place out there. Head to the R on the radar to start the first optional mission in the game. Optional as in it won't start until you want it to by standing in the red circle.
RyderAfter entering the red circle you'll watch a cutscene where Ryder informs you that a Pizza place is always spraying over his graffiti, even though it's beautiful. Ryder has a gun and wants to know if you're going with him. Of course you are. After the cutscene get in Ryder's car where you'll be presented with an objective which involves driving to the Barbers. Listen to the conversation between Carl and Ryder as you follow the blip on your radar and head towards the barbers. When you get there just park in the red circle, exit the vehicle and enter the barber shop. When you enter the shop, stand in the red marker and Carl will sit down. You'll now be able to choose a hair style using the menu. Buy whichever one you like, I usually go for the Jeri Curls. After that you'll go back outside where Ryder will comment on your hair. Once that's over with, cross the street and enter the Pizza Stack. Once inside, enter the red circle to buy a pizza. Scroll through the options and buy some food, depending of course on what you can afford. Buy any pizza, then when you're done, push triangle to quit the menu. A cutscene will then take over where Ryder attempts to hold up the pizza guy, however Carl says something which puts off Ryder and the pizza guy pulls out a Shotgun. You'll leave the store and appear outside. Run across the road and get in Ryder's car. You can then use it to run over the pizza guy chasing you with a shotgun, then pick up his weapon, or you can just drive the hell away from the flying lead. Either way, you'll need to take Ryder home, so make your way back to Grove Street. Park in the red circle and you'll see a short cutscene from Ryder telling you to see Sweet.
Mission Passed! Respect + Sweets Missions Are Now Unlocked.
Sweet Tagging Up TurfYou'll watch a cutscene where Sweet tells you that he wants some other gang graffiti covered up, and will hand you a spray can. After a short clip of Smoke and Sweet playing basketball, you'll be ready to go. Get in Sweets car and drive him into Idlewood. As usual, follow your radar to help you get to the right place. Once you get there park in the red circle and Sweet will show you how to spray over tags. Once he's done the first one for you, it'll be up to you to do the other 2 remaining tags in that area. The first one is just across the road from where you'll be located on the side of a building, the next is in an alleyway behind the first row of houses. Spray over both tags, then get back in Sweets car. Drive into East Los Santos where you'll be given two more tags to spray, one is on the wall just across the road, and the other is on a wall just near Cluckin' Bell. When you reach the second one you'll need to take care of two Ballas Gang Members, and the hint at the top of the screen will show you that you can kill people with the spray can. Aim and them and hold circle until they die. Once they're gone, spray over the tag then you'll be given a yellow blip on the radar where you'll find the next tag. You'll be told to climb the fence as the next tag is above you, so do just that. Climb the first two fences, then use the low wall to climb up onto the roof. You'll find the tag on the side of the wall up there. Once that's sprayed Sweet will appear again and tell you to get in the car. Get in it and drive him back to Grove Street. Park in the red circle and watch the short cutscene to pass the mission.
Mission Passed! $200 Respect +
A Spray Can Is Now Available From CJ's Mom's House. Enter CJ's house and pick up extra ammo for the spray can if you wish. Upon leaving the house you'll receive a phone call from Officer Hernandez telling you that leaving town would be a bad idea. That's right too, because if you try to leave Los Santos you'll get a four star wanted level! Enter Sweet's red circle for another mission, or go hunting for tags to spray over. There's 100 to find throughout Los Santos. You've already got 6.
